Right candidate. Right role. Right time. That is the brief.

Why we exist

UK employers do not have time to interview eight candidates per role to find one keeper. RTR Recruitment was set up to do the work upfront so the shortlist is short and the candidates are real. Our desk runs on one belief: a hire only counts if it stays in seat at six months, and that outcome starts with the brief, not the CV pile.

We are a UK permanent recruitment partner. We are not a temp desk and we are not a CV firehose. We pick up briefs we believe we can fill well, and we are upfront if the role is outside our wheelhouse.

What we do, plainly

We place permanent staff for UK employers across ten disciplines. Each placement is run by one named consultant who takes the brief, vets the candidates, runs the offer and follows up at day 7, 30 and 90. There are no handoffs, no client managers, no junior researchers running blind on senior briefs.

The disciplines we recruit into:

  • Finance and accounting: bookkeepers, finance managers, qualified accountants, controllers
  • HR and people operations: HRBPs, ER specialists, talent leads, L&D, reward, payroll
  • Sales and business development: BDMs, account managers, SDRs, sales leadership
  • Marketing and communications: marketing managers, brand leads, PR, content, digital
  • Operations and procurement: ops managers, procurement, supply chain, vendor managers
  • IT and technology: software engineers, devops, BAs, systems analysts, IT leadership
  • Project and programme: PMO, project managers, programme directors
  • Office and executive support: EAs, office managers, business support coordinators
  • Legal and compliance: paralegals, in-house counsel, compliance officers
  • Customer and client services: customer success, account directors, contact-centre managers

Who we work for

UK SMEs, mid-market commercial businesses, professional services firms, and the in-house functions of larger enterprises. Our typical client is a hiring manager who would rather spend less time on recruitment and more time running their team.

How we vet candidates

  • Right-to-work verification
  • Reference contact, current and previous employer where possible
  • Qualification verification where the role calls for it
  • A structured competency conversation, scenario-tested for senior roles
  • Written capture of salary expectations, notice period and motivation

The aim is simple: nothing reaches your shortlist that we have not stood behind.

How we think about a placement

A successful placement is not a CV submission or a fee invoice. It is the moment six months later when the new hire is still in seat, still adding value, still happy. That is the only outcome we measure ourselves against, and the only one that should matter to you.

Our values, the short version

  • Take the brief seriously. A 30-45 minute call up front saves you a fortnight on the back end.
  • Tell the truth. If the salary is below market, we will say so. If a candidate is not a strong fit, we will not pretend.
  • One consultant per client. One consultant takes the brief, vets the candidates, runs the offer, follows up at day 7, 30 and 90. Holiday cover is briefed properly so nothing slips.
  • Stand behind the work. Free replacement period on every placement. No small print.
  • Fit-first vetting. Right-to-work, references, qualifications and motivation all checked before introduction.
